Muslims Aren't Engaging Congress Enough.

Here's How Poligon is Changing That.

Poligon Education Fund is a national, non-profit organization that seeks to amplify American Muslim voices in Congress through increased engagement in the policymaking process. It is no coincidence that the U.S. public opinion of Muslims and Islam is at an all-time low when our community is also the least likely faith group to be politically engaged. A 2019 ISPU study commissioned by Poligon and other Muslim civic engagement groups showed that only 17% of American Muslims had contacted their Members of Congress in the last year, the lowest of all faith groups. Since our launch in 2017, Poligon has worked tirelessly to empower individuals by educating and advocating the community and our allies. This is done in two ways:

1) training the community on how to engage with their elected officials and educating them about the policies that impact them

2) educating and advocating with policymakers to promote positive policy change on issues such as civil rights, Islamophobia, and social, racial, and economic justice.

We’ve been fortunate enough to train and amplify the voices of thousands of American Muslims and work along aside many other national organizations in the Muslim civic engagement space. These efforts have aided in ensuring we are making maximum impact in the community.

As we near the end of Ramadan and the last holy days are upon us, we want to take this opportunity to remind our community that our efforts would not be possible with the immense amount of support that we’ve received thus far. That being said, we surely have a long way to go.

Here’s how you can contribute:

LaunchGood: In addition to receiving your donations, Poligon gets $50 for every person that signs up for the Ramadan Challenge using this link!

Facebook: No fees and you can invite your friends to contribute as well.

Website: Become a monthly donor!

Now, more than ever, Muslim American voices must be heard loud and clear on Capitol Hill!
